Arabs Africans - Blacks Africans

Mission of Libya to the United Nations
Attention: Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi.
309 East 48th Street
New York, New York 10017 U.S.A.

Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi.

You may have notice my support of the idea of creating an United States of Africa - in my document entitled “An African Mandate 2008 - Forging A Nation” and other documents; I support you (Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi) as the first President of An United States of Africa. You may not have gotten some of my documents because I had Lybia confused with Liberia .

I have read plenty of material on Africa since the AU Summit - Accra, Ghana 2007. One of the document I read was entitled “Why We Oppose Gaddafi, By Yar’ Adua. The document consisted of a seria of blobs. I expected more from Nigeria President Yar’ Adua than beating around the bush. He talked about the mistakes the EU made during its development period. Yar’ Adua needs to forget the EU. We are talking about Africa. Africa has to do what is best for Africa. Yar’ Adua criticisms of Quaddafi and the Africa Union centered around the fact that every thing that is wrong with Africa should be solved before even considering uniting, and this is ridiculer and stupid.

I would like to get Yar’ Adua comments on “….Is there anything against African Countries setting their own standards. Must we aspire to be like the US or the EU? Cannot we aspire to be something else but better than other countries?”

I read another article which I forgot the title, but the issue that remain with me from that article; which was a very lengthy article and covered many topics, is that - Col Gaddafi has Arabs ties and have on occasions invited Arabs from other parts of the World to come and reside in Africa. Making Africa their homeland.

That article which was entitled “Why black Africa should resist Arab domination of AU read as follows:
Why black Africa should resist Arab domination of AU

Part I: The Arab Quest for Lebensraum in Africa"
“The third of the Arab community living outside Africa should move in with the two-thirds on the continent and join the African Union "which is the only space we have' - Col. Mouarnmar Gadhafi of Libya, at the Arab League, 2001Many AfriKans take great exception to the sentiments and views expressed by Col. Gadhafi at the March 2001, Amman, Jordan meeting of the Arab League. --Prof. Kwesi Kwa Prah, 2004, in a paper to the AU [both quotes in Bankie and Mchombu eds, 2006:217, 235]Besides joining Prof. Prah and the other Afrikans who take exception to Gadhafi's statement, I should like to point out that Gadhafi's invitation to his fellow Arabs is nothing but a declaration of race war on Africa..."

On another occasion I logged on to the United States of Africa blob - web site, and read quite a few of the remarks in response to the question - “Is African unity a dream worth pursuing“?
I notice a great deal of concern for the political views of Africans in the north as opposed to those in other parts of Africa.

On that web site, Philip A Boldit in Texas, USA writes
“A United Sates of Africa is a dream that is attainable. I think that eastern (western) Africa, together with South Africa will be the first to achieve this dream. But what Africa needs now is the assurance from the big powers, like UK, France, USA and China that a united Africa is not a threat to their interests. African Arab countries of Sudan, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, and Mauritania will have a difficult choice: They will either look more to the Middle East or accept the political reality of being Africans ahead of anything else”

As a results of the article entitled “Why black Africa should resist Arab domination of AU and the comments on the United States of Africa web site, I was encourage to write the following reply which the African Union Association was provided a copy.

As you will note in my proposal, entitled “An African Mandate 2008 - Forging A Nation”, I suggested that Libya's Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi be appointed the first president of Africa.
As Christians, which include a large number of blacks in Africa; it is my belief that their religion can withstand the challenger of opening the highest role of government to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi I can not think of any other way of uniting all African within a short period of time than by giving Col. Qaddafi a chance to unite Arabs and all other Africans as one. This will at lease give Arabs a chance to start thinking of themselves as Africans.

I think it is more important to give Col Qaddafi the first chance to unite Arabs as African than for - lets say - for Nigeria President or Kofi Annan to prove their concern for Arabs. As President - I do not think - being President will in no shape or form be a problem for Nigeria President nor Kofi Annan to embrace Arabs as Africans. It appears that the problem will be for Arabs to embrace Africans as their brother and sisters. As President of an United States of Africa this will be Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi job.

Africans have survive wars, Colonialism, the Apartheids and all kinds of endurance, so I believe that they can survive one more test of their faith by offering an olive branch to the Arabs - Libya's Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi

Anything else will probably require years and years of trial and errors.

It is my understanding that there are many Tribes of Africans on the Continent. I do not think uniting the Tribes will be as big of a problem as the Arabs; as long as the government does not force changes upon the Tribes. Due justice to the various Tribes, in my opinion, will be to guarantee the Constitutional - recognition of equal representation in the government. One man - One vote. And this is all the Arabs should demand as Africans. Being a United States of Africa will not require everyone be black Africans, act as black Africans nor even think as black Africans; nor should it require everyone to think and act as Arabs.

With that said I will like to know what you (Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi done to promote unity and co-operation among Africa Arabs, and Native Africans? What have you done to try and promote stability in Sudan and Dufur? It is my understanding that quite a bit of the instability are the results of conflicts among native Africans and Arabs the mere lack of respect for each others.

It is my understanding that you (Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi) has done quite a bit to promote the idea of establishing a United States of Africa and it is my understanding that you have had some very good ideas for Africa. If you do not have any intention of creating an Africa for All African then what else could be your intentions?

Please make sure Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi. gets a copy of this letter. I hope to get a person reply from him. Also, please not the enclosed letter written to Chairperson Ping - The Africa Union Association. The letter is for Col. Quaddafi information.

Thank you,
Ernest L. Herron
